Statement of Faith
At La Progresiva Presbyterian School, our faith is the foundation of everything we do. It shapes our teaching, our relationships, and our purpose. While no single statement can fully express every aspect of our beliefs, the following summarizes the biblical convictions that guide our school, our faculty, and our mission.
The Trinity
We believe in one true and living God, eternally existing as three Persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Each Person of the Trinity is fully God, equal in power and glory, working together in perfect unity according to God's sovereign will.
Key Scripture: John 15:26, Matthew 3:16–17
The Bible
We believe the Holy Bible is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. It is our final standard for faith, truth, and Christian living, revealing God's character and His plan of redemption through Jesus Christ.
Key Scripture: 2 Timothy 3:16, 2 Peter 1:20–21
The Plan of Salvation
We believe salvation is found through Jesus Christ alone. Born of the Virgin Mary, Jesus lived a sinless life, died on the cross for our sins, rose again in victory, and now reigns at the right hand of the Father. Through faith in Him, we receive forgiveness, eternal life, and reconciliation with God.
Key Scripture: Matthew 1:20, Luke 1:35, Ephesians 1:7, Romans 4:25, Hebrews 7:25
The Church
We believe the Church is the body of Christ, made up of all believers who place their faith in Jesus Christ. The Church exists to proclaim the Gospel, worship God, disciple believers, serve others with compassion, and faithfully represent Christ throughout the world.
Key Scripture: Ephesians 1:23, Ephesians 2:22, 1 Corinthians 12:13
The Christian Ministry
We believe every Christian is called to share the hope of the Gospel and live as a witness for Christ. As a Christian school, we encourage students to grow in their faith, love others, and fulfill Christ's Great Commission through lives marked by service, integrity, and compassion.
Key Scripture: Matthew 28:19–20, John 3:16
We Affirm
We affirm that God alone is Lord of the conscience. Our faith and worship are grounded in His Word rather than human traditions or opinions. We seek to cultivate biblical wisdom, faithful obedience, and lives that honor Christ in every area.
Closing Statement
Since our founding, La Progresiva Presbyterian School has remained committed to providing an education rooted in biblical truth, academic excellence, and Christian character. We strive to develop students who know Christ, pursue wisdom, serve others, and lead with integrity wherever God calls them.
“God’s faithfulness and love for his people that grow to seek and know his face and righteousness.”
